FAQs

OKTA username allows you to seamlessly and securely login and navigate through private label sites and AFC with one login and password.

If you currently sign into OPENLANE.ca, AFC, or any other OPENLANE platforms with a OKTA username, then you already have one created.

SSO allows users to sign into various software platforms with one username and password.

OKTA Username will:

  • Enable you to log into multiple OPENLANE platforms to access all your remarketing needs with one username and password so you don’t have to maintain separate credentials.
  • Access to enterprise-level identity and access security (provided by Okta)

If you have access to multiple private label sites, you will only need to create or link one OKTA Username. This OKTA Username will enable you to log into all your private label sites.

Please see the step-by-step guide on how to create your new OKTA username. This process should only take about 2 minutes.

If you have previously created an OKTA username for other platforms such as AFC, you will need to link that OKTA username to your private label username. This process should only take about 1 minute.

Please see steps below on how to link your new OKTA username for your private label site.

Step 1

Log in to your private label site with your username and password and click Login.

Step 2

When you see this migration page, click Link my existing OKTA username now.

Step 3

Login with your OKTA Username and password and click Continue.

Step 4

You should see a OKTA username successfully linked message. Click the Got It button to continue to the homepage. Next time you log into your private label site, make sure you log in with your OKTA Username.

Congrats! You are done linking your OKTA username.

If the OKTA username you tried to use was already linked to another OPENLANE account, you will need to click the back button to go back to the migration page and select Create a New OKTA Username to go through the steps to create an OKTA username with an email address that is unique to you.

If the migration page does not appear again when you click the back button, you should be able to open a new incognito/private browser window to log back into your private label site and see the migration page again.

If you continue to get an error message even when trying to start a new create OKTA username flow or link a different OKTA username to your username, try to clear your browser cache before trying again.

If you already have an OKTA username for openlane.ca

  • Click Login with OKTA username, enter your OKTA Username and password.
  • Click Continue, and you’ll go to the homepage.
