New Website Enhancements
At OPENLANE, we're always working to make OPENLANE.com the best and easiest online wholesale auction. Here are some exciting new enhancements to the website:

BUYER UPDATES
Searching for Vehicles

  • Basic Listings: Vehicles where the seller is willing to sell the car, but the listing may have only retail information. Click "I'M INTERESTED" for more vehicle details
  • "BETA" OPENLANE Search menu now released as the new default search menu: OPENLANE'S new next-generation search menu has expanded search options
  • Market Value Guidance (MVG): Enhancements have been made including displaying BlackBook™ pricing directly on the vehicles shown on the Search Results page
  • NIADA Certified Program vehicles added to OPENLANE Search menu: Buyers can now search for vehicles that are "NIADA Certified"
  • Vehicle Listing Category added to the Quick Search: Users can now search for inventory by Vehicle Listing Category directly from the post-login homepage "BUY" menu
Bidding for vehicles
  • Streamlined Vehicle Bidding: Selecting "PLACE BID", "BUY NOW", and "BEST OFFER" during the bidding process now AUTOMATICALLY means that the user accepts OPENLANE'S Terms and Conditions
  • User's full name is shown if leading Bidder: Users will see their full user name displayed on their Watchlist and Auction Bid History screens for VINs for which they are the current leading bidder

  • Buy Back Guarantee offerings now expanded: 10-day and 30-day Buy Back Guarantee options now available for all OPENLANE.com purchases for extra confidence and protection
  • Transport – Estimated Number of Days for Delivery: Vehicles for which OPENLANE-arranged CarsArrive Transport is available will now display an "Estimated Number of Days for Delivery" field on the Vehicle Detail Page

Basic Listings: Requiring only basic information, sellers can quickly post inventory on OPENLANE.com, then have the opportunity to provide wholesale condition, pricing, and availability once a wholesale buyer indicates interest and before the car sells.

Analytics Update

OPENLANE Market Index
The OPENLANE Market Index represents pricing and dealer vehicle interest trends across all vehicle segments in our online marketplace. January 2011 highlights for the U.S. include:

  • Overall US auction prices increased 4 percentage points in December
  • Car and Minivan prices increased in December versus prior month and year-over-year
  • Interest for Cars rose in December while interest in Minivans and Trucks decreased

Search Interest Report
The OPENLANE Search Interest Report ranks the most common vehicle searches on the Open Auction. This report includes the top 25 ranking for make and model as well as the top 5 ranking for vehicles by body style.

OPENLANE's Dealer Group Remarketing Solutions Program makes the remarketing process more seamless for dealer groups. Our new program caters to the special needs and requirements that consolidated, multi-location dealerships have for acquiring quality wholesale vehicles to sell at their various locations. Dealer Spotlight

Steve Sprung is the Buyer for the Russ Darrow Group with corporate office located in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin and dealerships in Milwaukee, Madison, and the surrounding areas. Steve started using OPENLANE in April 2010 and now purchases approximately 90% of their inventory from OPENLANE.

Q: How do I view the status of my purchases?

Viewing the status of your purchase is easy. Log on to www.openlane.com and click on "My Transactions" tab. Choose "Purchase" on the drop-down menu for "Report Type". This will take you to your purchase history where you can check to see if your payment has posted, see the status of the title, get a copy of your confirmation of sale and open a case for customer service to respond to.
